I feel like I’ve been tricked. I have had my iPhone 11 Pro for over 3 years now and NEVER did I have an issue with my screen. I’m dyspraxic, so I knew when I bought the phone, it’ll handle my clumsiness'. I did all the research.
So many times I’ve dropped it and never did it break. Eventually it did give way, it got crushed. I returned to this store because I used it before and trusted them. I purchased a new screen for £85, THINKING the insurance given, will cover accidental damage. You’d think right!!? Wrong.
Within less than a month, my phone fell out of my pocket. “Oh no problem” I thought. It has both a hard case on it AND a protective cover on it, it’ll be fine. It wasn’t fine. It broke both the screen cover and the screen itself. I was so shocked. How can it have broken so easily!? I returned it to the shop and ended up having an Asd meltdown in front of everybody, because I was told “it’s my fault”.
It’s my fault for being born clumsy and having dyslexia, so reading anything is difficult.
It’s my fault for not understanding the insurance policy correctly, AFTER I paid for the service.
It’s my fault for expecting my phone, to continue to be as robust as it was, AFTER the repaired.
I had to walk out, because he wouldn’t understand my position, he threatened to call the police instead, because when I’m having a meltdown, unfortunately I can’t control the tone of my voice. I didn’t do anything other than raise my voice because I was upset.
My friend kindly tried to help and to explain my position of not understanding the insurance claim he gave me.
If you have learning difficulties, dyspraxia, ADHD and dyslexia, don’t go in there.
They don’t communicate the insurance claim correctly and vulnerable people end up getting ripped off.
